OVERVIEW
In 2017, I left my home country and started my journey in Europe. During my travels, I had the chance to visit various cities in Europe and parts of Asia. It was during this time that I experienced my first winter, and exploring these places during this season gave them a melancholic tone. The color blue, in particular, always evoked this feeling within me.

PROCESS
I chose to create a photo series based on my travels to various cities in Europe and Asia during the winter. The melancholic tone of these places, often evoked by the color blue, inspired me to create the series. I named it Cyanotype, after the printing technique that heavily features the cyan color. To add drama, I used high contrasts and sculptures in the photos, and allowed the forms to merge when only silhouettes remained.
After completing the photographic series, I gathered the results and combined them with some short texts to create a personal editorial project.
